Metal rotameter is a one of the changing area flowmeter, in a vertical conical tube expand from down to up, the gravity of the float with circular cross-section is borne by hydrodynamic force, the float can rise and fall freely in the conical tube.

It can move from down to up under the flow velocity and buoyancy force, after balancing with the float weight, the flow is transmitted by magnetic coupling to the dial indicating the flow.

It can be divided into glass and metal rotameter. The rotameter is mostly used for industry, the corrosiveness medium usually adopts the glass material for small pipe diameter, because the glass material is easy broken, the key control point of the rotameter can adopt all titanium and other precious metals as well.

Rotameter is a one of measuring flow instrument which based on the float position of changing area. Adopting all metal structure and Modular conceptual design, small pressure loss, large range ratio(10:1), easy to maintain, can be widely used in flow measurement and process control in complex, harsh environment and various medium conditions.
